Hello, I’m Jim Shade, the Lead Pastor here at The Fort Ministry.

My wife Kim and me have raised 4 kids (Levi, Rachel, Isaac, & Judah) while living and doing ministry in Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin, and now here in Wyoming. The 3 oldest kids are all adults now and Kim and me are proud grandparents of two beautiful grandkids.

I grew up in Minnesota, where I earned my degrees in Biblical Studies, Theology, and Youth Studies, which led me to serve many years in youth ministry.

I am a church planter now, and built The Fort Ministry in 2016 from the ground level up, and am working on other church planting projects to help connect people to Christ.

I love people, like to have fun (am a bit crazy), and most importantly, love Jesus.

Hello, I’m Steven Shaffer, the Associate Pastor here at The Fort Ministry.

I have been part of the church for 7 years and have lived in the Casper/Mills area for the last 27 years.

My wife, Sarah, and me pursue God’s heart and love people. We have a passion for seeing people connect to God through Jesus, and building the Kingdom of God.

I have a BA in Communication from the University of Wyoming and am currently attending classes through Northwest Nazarene University to achieve ordination. I enjoy fishing, driving, camping with Sarah (really doing anything with Sarah is good), and anything to do with loving, fellowshipping, and/or connecting with people.

Hi! I’m Olivia Stark, and I am the assistant to Pastor Jim here at The Fort Ministry.

I am currently in college studying for a degree in Criminal Justice. I would like to do something in the field of law when I am finished. For now, The Fort Ministry is where my heart is.

I began attending The Fort shortly after it started, and am hooked on this church and the people here. I adore this church and call it home.

I own two sweet furbabies (Pitbulls), and currently live on my own. I enjoy snowmobiling, figure skating, crocheting, and more.

I am a local to Casper, Wyoming. I nicknamed it “The oasis of mountains and plains,” where the horizon embraces the plains. It is the place where I can reside at the threshold of our Lord’s beauty and elegance.
